Israeli company makes history with flag-waving photoshoot in the UAE

An Israeli brand of underwear has made history by shooting the first Israeli fashion advert in the UAE.

The fashion shoot featured Israeli model May Tager and was shot on location in sand dunes in the UAE. And according to their releases, they were the first Israeli fashion brand to work in Dubai.

The shoot was for Fix, a clothing brand that specialises in underwear including lingerie and pyjama company. But the photoshoot was limited to pyjamas to “respect the rules” according to Tager.

The other model in the shoot was Dubai-based Russian model, Anastasia Bandarenka.

The photo shoot also took in shots at Five Palm Jumeriah.

Historic relationship

The news comes as the UAE and Israel finalised a historic pact between the two countries.

The historic deal between Israel and the UAE was announced on August 13 and is the first of its kind between an Arab country and Israel for over 20 years.

And the pact was confirmed last week when the first commercial flight from Israel landed in Abu Dhabi.

The historic deal also resulted in President Trump being nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Trump was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a member of the Norwegian Parliament.

“For his merit, I think he has done more trying to create peace between nations than most other Peace Prize nominees,” Tybring-Gjedde told reporters. He was also keen to stress that he wasn’t actually a fan of the President.

“I’m not a big Trump supporter,” Tybring-Gjedde told Fox News. That makes two of us then.

“The committee should look at the facts and judge him on the facts — not on the way he behaves sometimes. The people who have received the Peace Prize in recent years have done much less than Donald Trump,” Tybring-Gjedde added.
