MacKenzie Scott, the ex-wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, has given away more than $4billion in the last few months.
Ms Scott is the 18th-richest person in the world, with her wealth rising this year to $60.7bn.
She gave her money to 380 charities including food banks and those struggling due to the pandemic.
She revealed the news in a blog post, having gone through more than 6,500 charities and organisations to decide where her money was best spent.

This is far from a one-off event for MacKenzie Scott.
Last year, she signed the Giving Pledge where she promised to give away the majority of her fortune.
“I have a disproportionate amount of money to share,” she wrote in her pledge.
Mr Bezos, we hope you’re reading this and feel like sharing some of your wealth!
He’s currently worth around $138 billion after huge sales during the pandemic.
