It’s been a long year and – reality check – it’s only September! But if there’s one sure-fire way to banish those 2020 Dubai blues it’s with live music and an ace night out at Lucky Voice.
After the year we’ve had, the power of live music is one of the best ways to get your mojo back. Combine it with a night out and even a bit of crowd karaoke, and you have a sure-fire winner. Which is why we’re heading down to Lucky Voice for our live music kicks as they embrace the ‘new normal.’
Live music and DJs
While Lucky Voice is rightly known as the karaoke joint in Dubai, the team have put together a winning entertainment combo to help put a spring into your step.
Which means they’ve got live acoustic sessions courtesy of Daniel Batchelor every Tuesday and Thursday night from 9 pm to midnight. The ridiculously talented singer has been a mainstay in Dubai for six years. And he’s the perfect choice for Lucky Voice, as he plays everything from RnB and reggae to Drum and Bass, Indie and even swing classics.
Regulars will also know that Tuesday is Lucky Ladies N Gents Night which means it’s just AED 99 for 1 meal and three house drinks.
They’ve also got the DJ scene covered thanks to resident DJ Mark Vee on hand during the week. And they’ve got big names at the weekend including Friday night resident Dane Bowers playing the post-brunch session from 6-11 pm.
Saturdays meanwhile are all about the hip hop courtesy of _WHTBOY, previously known as DJ Royal T, who mans the decks from 10 pm – 3 am.
Crowd karaoke at the Friday brunch!
If you have been missing your karaoke fix this year, the next best thing is the Brunch Out Loud which runs at Lucky Voice from 2-5 pm every Friday. Prices start from AED195 and it’s all hosted by the most infectious – or perhaps charismatic would be a better word! – host in Dubai. Combine it with a Dane Bowers after party and you have the perfect antidote to 2020.
And if you are tempted to join in with the crowd karaoke, make sure to read our 9 karaoke rules feature first!
