Macklemore, Camilla Cabello Among Headliners Announced For RedFest DXB

RedFest DXB, the annual pop music festival has announced its first wave of headliners. The lineup is so solid this time; everyone might stay till the end.

Rising Latin-American star Camilla Cabello is set to rock RedFest DXB. There’s no question of how she’s dominated pop music this year, with hit-singles ‘Never Be The Same,’ ‘Consequences’ and ‘Body.’ She stormed mainstream music charts with the song, ‘Havana’ last year, peaking at number one on Billboard’s Hot 100, followed by hits like ‘Crying In The Club’ and ‘Bad Things.’

Macklemore returns to UAE

Rapper Macklemore is about to make RedFest DXB his Thrift Shop this February. You might know the rapper from recent times, but he’s been in the rap game since 2000. He rose to fame in 2012 with hits like “Can’t Hold Us,” “Downtown” and “Thrift Shop,” which earned him a Grammy award for the ‘Best Rap Song.’ The 35-year-old rapper has been into collaborations lately, with artists like Skylar Grey, Ke$ha and Chance The Rapper. He made his UAE debut in Abu Dhabi in 2014.

Jax Jones joins the star-studded day two lineup

You might know Jax Jones through collaborations like “Instruction” with Demi Lovato and “You Don’t Know Me” with Raye. The British DJ earned a reputation for the deep house after collaborating with Duke Dumont on songs like “Ocean Drive,” “Won’t Look Back” and “I Got U.” He broke into mainstream in 2015, with the release of “Yeah Yeah Yeah” and “House Work.” This year, he collaborated with Mabel and Rich The Kid on “Ring Ring,” peaking at number 33 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Also, he’s no stranger to Dubai’s party scene, performing at Zero Gravity last New Year’s Eve.

Lea Makhoul to keep the festival going

French-Lebanese pop sensation Lea Makhoul will end the festival on a high note. The 27-year-old began as a finalist on Star Academy Arabia in 2014. Her career kicked off in 2015 with the release of ‘Give Me Sunlight,’ which earned her a contract with Universal Music MENA. Since then, she’s been the hitmaker behind songs like “Paradise.” “Je Veux Danser” and “Ya Lebnan.”
