Here’s a hilarious surprise for Avengers fans. Some lad purchased two domains for Avengers: Endgame, before the team at Marvel could create one.
Lad creates Avengers: Endgame domains before Marvel
Before Marvel dropped the trailer for Avengers: Endgame last week, the URL owner, who goes by the Twitter username, @AGuyInChair (name anonymous) purchased two domains: www.AvengersEndgame.com and www.AvengersEndgameMovie.com. Interestingly, he bought the domains on 27th April 2018, the same day when its prequel released.
Curious internet users were in for a continual troll. It started with redirecting users to 20th Century Fox’s Deadpool movie page, something Ryan Reynolds would be proud of! The links ke 20th Century Fox’s Deadpool movie page, something Ryan Reynolds would be proud of! The links keep changing on a frequent basis, from a Japanese Spider-Man anime trailer and a Thanos troll article.
URL owner holding domains ransom
Surprisingly, the URL owner doesn’t demand any monetary payments in exchange for handing URL rights. In a blog post, he asks Marvel’s parent company, The Walt Disney Company to offer tickets for its world premiere. He writes, “I want to trade them for the chance to come to the movie premiere in LA or something fun like that. I’m much more interested in a fun experience than owning these domains or some big payday. Besides, you probably would have much more use for them than I would.”
