Big news Marvel movie fans! The Avengers franchise dropped not one, not two, but four new trailers during the recent Super Bowl adverts.
As well as new trailers for Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, teasers were released for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision and Loki.
The shows are all coming soon on Disney Plus, Disney’s own in-house streaming service. The first show is due this summer.
The Black Widow is due for release on May 1, with the new 30-second trailer teasing more footage from the Marvel movie. And Stranger Things fans will be pleased as there was more screen-time for David Harbour AKA Jim Hopper.
$5.6 million per advert
Marvel weren’t the only company to launch new movie trailers during the Super Bowl. Other trailers included The Minions: Rise of Gru, the SpongeBob Squarepants movie, Disney’s Mulan and A Quiet Place Part 2. Plus there were spots for The Invisible Man, Top Gun: Maverick and new Amazon Prime show Hunters.
And in case you were thinking of putting an advert up in next year’s Superbowl, you’ll need to start saving. A 30-second TV spot during the big game reportedly costs $5.6 million. In total, that means Marvel spent more than $20 million for their Super Bowl trailers!
Around 100 million American football fans tuned in for the game this year. The record currently stands at 115 million during Super Bowl 2015.
For those more interested in the sporting action, the Kansas City Chiefs came from behind to beat the San Francisco 49ers.
