Disney’s Marvel Studios are in the works of introducing Ms Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe(MCU) after the release of Captain Marvel next year.
Ms. Marvel is a female Muslim superhero
Kamala Khan is her character name and she was the first Muslim superhero to have her own comic book, which debuted in 2014. Based on the comics, Khan is a Pakistani-American with “shape-shifting abilities, according to Comic Vine. She will be joining female superheroes like Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Gamora, Nebula and Nakia. It’s likely that the film will release after Captain Marvel, which is set to release on March 6th, 2019.

Riz Ahmed is interested to do the screenplay
British-Pakistani star Riz Ahmed, who starred in films like Star Wars’ ‘Rogue One’ and ‘Tjason Bourne’ took to Twitter to post his interest to do the screenplay and tagged Pakistani actor Kumail Nanjani too.

Cast isn’t finalized yet
Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige revealed Ms. Marvel being on the works in an interview with BBC and Hollywood has gone berzerk about it already. Numerous Twitter users are pushing for actresses Mindy Kaling and Priyanka Chopra to play the role. Mindy too couldn’t stop herself from expressing how excited she is about the superhero.

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ grossed $1.6 billion
Marvel Studios’ latest film is on its way to earn USD 2 billion, grossing $1.6 billion after three weeks. It has had the fourth biggest third-weekend grosser, earning $61.8 million on the third weekend, according to Forbes. What’s more, the film had the second highest opening weekend ahead of Monster’s Hunt 2 in China, earning $148 million.
