A motorist passed away after losing control of his car at the Trade Centre roundabout in Dubai, making the vehicle catch flip and catch fire.
Tragic accident at Trade Centre roundabout
Yesterday afternoon saw dozens of cars stranded on Sheikh Zayed Road due to the fatal accident. Plumes of dark smoke filled the Dubai sky as the motorist lost control over his car at the Trade Centre roundabout. The vehicle set ablaze after flipping.
Dubai Civil Defense immediately sent firefighters at the scene to put out the smoke and tried rescuing the driver. Despite their efforts, the driver died in the incident.
Dubai Police issues advisory following the accident
Colonel Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Acting Director-General of Dubai Traffic Department, advises motorists to be careful and observe the speed limits on the road.
Dubai Police followers responded to the news offering their condolences and well-wishes. Some followers who witnessed the accident thanked Dubai Police and the Civil Defense for their efforts during the incident.
Yesterday’s accident follows a sorrowful line-up of fatal accidents in the UAE this year. Recently, an Emirati policeman passed away on duty after a reckless motorist crashed into him, following another accident involving a four-year-old crushed to death after a motorist mistakenly stepped on the accelerator pedal instead of the brakes.
