From a tiny hub for trade to a metropolitan city, Dubai has developed so rapidly over the years that even the latest clip by The National Aeronautics and Space Administration proves how Dubai has changed within a short span of time.
Dubai only seemed built around the creek area in 1984
By the looks of video clip, in 1984, Dubai only seemed developed on the Creek. You’ll find areas like Al Fahidi, Ghubaiba, Bastikiya and Deira shown with buildings and roads. The city continues till the start of the Sheikh Zayed road and parts of Jumeirah. Fo’ reals, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah seemed farther during those times than it is today!
Palm and World Islands have been the most notable developments
Compared the clip of Dubai today, there’s been a massive amount of development in the city and it has expanded drastically for the creek area. The development of the Palm Islands and the World Islands are the most noticeable additions to the extension of the city while several freeways have come up, especially the Emirates Road and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road.
Sharjah and Abu Dhabi too have changed immensely
Besides Dubai. NASA’s clip shows Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates transformation before and after too. Sharjah’s development expanded drastically over the south and Abu Dhabi developed big time on its islands. The development expanded all the way to parts of Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah.
