UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has announced the 155th country Emiratis can travel to Canada with visa-free access.
Visa requirements for Canada have been lifted
Emiratis can travel to Canada with visa-free access from June 5th from exactly 1:30 pm onward. The announcement was made in a meeting between Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Canada’s Immigration Officer, Ahmad Hussen.

UAE has the 23rd most powerful passport
From the recent Henley Passport Index released this month, UAE led the rankings for the Arab World and was ranked 23rd globally. The statistics showed the UAE passport has visa-free access to 154 countries and had the biggest improvement on the ranks in the last ten years, jumping 38 spots after 2008. The most powerful passport belongs to Japan, with visa-free access to 189 countries.
Seven countries agreed on lifting visa requirements this year
So far, the following countries; Paraguay, China, Ireland, Tonga, Guinea, Guyana and now Canada have agreed to grant visa-on-arrival for Emiratis this year, according to Gulf Business. Guyana’s visa-free access agreement was announced recently, aiming to improve trade and tourism between the countries.
