Nick Cannon Reignites Feud Against Eminem With New Diss Track

It looks like Mariah Carey’s ex, Nick Cannon isn’t backing down from his longstanding feud with Eminem, releasing a new diss track, ‘The Invitation.’

Nick Cannon drops a new Eminem diss track

Despite a supposedly done-and-dusted feud between the duo that finished years back, Nick Cannon reunited with his Hip-Hop collective, ‘The Black Squad’ for a diss track on Eminem using the instrumental of Jay Z’s “Renegade”. Here’s the diss verse:

“No you debate and hated and viewed in America as a — drug addict, You’ll never be a legend, Now when you stop and start to stare at who’s in the mirror, Look at all that — botox, —-I know you embarrassed … I bet you never thought the killshot would come from a Cannon.”

Nick dropped ‘The Invitation’ as a response to Fat Joe’s latest collaboration with Eminem, in “Lord Above.” In the song, Marshall Mathers yet again brought up his relationship with Mariah Carey, who later went on to have an 8 year marriage with Nick. Check out the verse:

“I know me and Mariah didn’t end on a high note/But that other dude’s whipped-that — got him neutered. Tried to tell him this chick’s a — before he got his — clipped/Almost got my caboose kicked/Fool, quit/You not gonna do —- /I let her — my — off too before I lose to you, Nick.”

Eminem vs. Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey’s beef timeline

It all started off back in 2009 when Eminem released ‘Bagpipes from Baghdad,’ referring to Nick’s relationship with Mariah Carey, at a time when they were newlyweds. “Nick, you had your fun, I’ve come to kick you in your —.”

Carey came back at Em a few months later in “Obsessed.” She even made a music video on it. Check it out:

She’s always denied having a relationship with Eminem, something that didn’t go down so well with him! Things got out of hand when Eminem responded to the track with, “The Warning” including old intimate voice notes by her.

It wasn’t until recently (ten years after the initial spat) that Nick Cannon revealed his true feelings about the beef in T.I’s podcast. Here’s the message he relayed to Eminem:

“Look, I respect you as an artist. I’m actually a fan and I think you’re one of the best to ever do it. But from man to man, you talking out of pocket to my wife. You gotta be held accountable for that so I need to see you face-to-face.”

And with that comment, it was pretty much a case of Round Two for the pair who now seem to be embroiled in yet another battle of lyrics. It seems like the public are siding with Eminem though, as Nick’s track didn’t get too much love. After its release, the hashtag #RIPNickCannon started trending. Not one to give up too easily, Cannon just released another diss track, ‘Pray For Him’ where he suggests that Eminem supports Trump and uses Botox! He also brings up the recently deceased rapper Juice WRLD, saying “God should’ve took Em and let us keep Juice WRLD.” Juice WRLD died from a suspected overdose last Sunday at the age of 21.

There’s no shortage of feuds in the rap world. This year saw some epic battles between 50 Cent versus Young Buck and Drake versus Pusha T.
