Last night, Jeddah World Fest announced Nicki Minaj is backing out, due to ‘personal reasons and are offering ticket refunds right now.
Nicki commented on the situation saying, “After careful reflection I have decided to no longer move forward with my scheduled concert at Jeddah World Fest.”
She also explains, “While I want nothing more than to bring my show to fans in Saudi Arabia, after better educating myself on the issues, I believe it is important for me to make clear my support for the rights of women, the LGBTQ community and freedom of expression.”

Despite her backing out, the music festival will go on. EDM superstar Steve Aoki and Liam Payne, the man behind hits like “Familiar” and “Slow” are confirmed with headline slots. Jeddah World Fest will be announcing their second wave of artists this week.
