DJ Michelle, a hugely talented nine-year-old DJ from Dubai, has become the youngest competitor ever in the DMC Championships.
The event is now in its 36th year and brings together the best DJs and turntablists in the world.
And DJ Michelle, a legend in her own right already, will go up against 10 other competitors in one of the eight categories.
Just check out her entry video below – mad, mad skills!
The championships started in 1985 and have featured some of the best in the business, including A-Trak, DJ Craze and Cash Money. Contestants this year are taking part in the virtual competition from across the world including Indonesia, the USA, Nepal, Italy, Germany, Spain and Belgium.
We first wrote about the amazing DJ Michelle during lockdown last year.
And we’re delighted that she’s taken the next step and taking her talents global.
The super-talented Dubai DJ has already built up a huge following around the world on social media. She has nearly 200,000 followers across her Facebook and Instagram accounts.
And she’s followed by some seriously big names. These include DJ Snake, Chris Brown, Latoya Jackson, Maya Diab, Massari, Gashi, and Soulja Boy.
As well as being a DJ, she’s also a blogger, influencer and brand ambassador for Numark, one of the world’s leading DJ companies.
DJ Michelle was born in Baku, Azerbaijan, and moved to Dubai when she was just four. And having seen her Dad DJing, she started to show a lot of interest. Her first set quickly followed aged just five.
Fingers crossed she nails it at the DMC Championships this year!
