No one hurt in Jebel Ali explosion on container ship

Incredibly, no one has been reported hurt or injured after the explosion on a Jebel Ali container ship late last night.

The container ship was anchored at the Jebel Ali port and exploded just before 10 pm in Dubai.

The blast could be seen and felt up to 15 miles away with residents in Dubai Marina clearly able to see and hear the explosion. The Jebel Ali explosion was also powerful enough to be seen from space via satellite.

And according to the UAE authorities, no one has been hurt or injured in the blast.

Fire and police trucks were quickly on the scene last night with Dubai’s civil defence teams bringing the fire under control and starting the “cooling process.”

The container ship was a relatively small one with a capacity of 130 containers.

It’s not yet clear how much damage was caused by the blast.

Jebel Ali is the largest port in the Middle East and one of the largest in the world.

It has four massive container terminals that can hold some of the world’s largest ships.
