One UAE residents spread COVID to 45 others as government warn of virus impact

One person in the UAE didn’t take the proper precautions and has spread COVID to 45 others which led to the death of a senior family member.

The news was broken by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA).

The individual in question spread the infection to his wife and then three other families, resulting in 45 positive cases. And the death of a senior family member.

They put out a message on Twitter asking for people in the UAE to avoid social gatherings ‘which could lead to the spread of the virus to you and your loved ones.’

The news comes as the UAE has undergone over 7.5 million COVID tests since the pandemic started, making it one of the world leaders. The UAE also has a recovery rate of 90% and a mortality rate of 0.5%, making it one of the lowest in the world.

As of today, the Ministry of Health, the UAE reported 883 new cases and two deaths.
