About: There’s always that one lad who can leave the rest of the group in hysterics. We’re talking gut-busting and rib-tickling humour. Well, Carvin H. Goldstone is that guy. The South African comedian will be putting on a rip-roaring evening of laughs, banters and humour with opening acts Saffa and Arno Quinton. Omega Dubai Desert Classic

About: Pro Golfers Bryson DeChambeau, Tommy Fleetwood, Sergio Garcia, Henrik Stenson, Tyrrell Hatton, Thorbjørn Olesen, Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood will be in action for the landmark 30th edition of Omega Dubai Desert Classic. This edition will witness a line-up of 24 Golfers battle for the Dallah Trophy, with a purse to the value of €2,817,587 (AED 11.8m). Also, there will be a tournament village, spectator facilities, grandstands and hospitality stands. The event goes on until Sunday.

UAE vs Australia

When: Friday, 25th January   

Where: Hazza bin Zayed Stadium

About: AFC Asian Cup hosts UAE continue their red hot form after defeating tournament debutants Kyrgyz Republic last Monday in the Round of 16 stage. The pressure gets real when they take on Australia this Friday at Hazza bin Zayed stadium in Al Ain. Tickets are priced between Dhs 50-150 and the match begins at 8 pm.

All Day I Dream season-opening party

About: Veteran DJ and Producer Lee Burridge is bringing his airy, magical and melancholic All Day I Dream festival to Dubai this Friday. Peggy Gou live

About: South Korea’s freshest DJ on the block, Peggy Gou will be playing a live set at Blue Marlin this Friday. The techno DJ grew into an Ibiza favourite last year, thanks to gigs in Circoloco parties and playing b2b with Jackmaster. Ctrl+ Alt+Action

About: For long, Alserkal Avenue has been a vibrant hub for arts, indie cinema and the famous Quoz Arts Fest. This edition, called Ctrl+Alt+Action, will host a range of exhibitions, live performances and film screenings. What’s more, The Junction will be hosting the Short+Sweet festival, presenting theatrical performances by homegrown talents.

Australia Day Supernatural brunch
