Tuesday, 8th January: XLine Night Rides
In the spirit of the new year, adventure sports brand XDubai opened its amped-up XLine for a limited time. They’re hosting one final night ride this Tuesday, giving thrill-seekers the chance to fly over Dubai Marina at 80 km/h. Packages start from Dhs 650 for flying solo and Dhs 1200 for double trouble. Wednesday, 9th January: Al Marmoom Desert Run
It’s roughly one week into 2019 and if your new year’s resolution is to get fit, the Desert Run at Al Marmoom is perhaps the best way to kickstart your progress. The run is available in multiple distances: 2.5km, 5km or 10km, spanning over 40 hectares of shrubland home to various species of migratory birds, native birds at the scenic Al Qudra lakes. Thursday, 10th January: UAE vs India
In-form hosts UAE will be taking on India in a highly anticipated match at the AFC Asian Cup this Thursday. On paper, UAE(79) ranks ahead of India (97) but will be playing without their star player, Omar Abdulrahman. The match kicks off at 8 pm at Zayed Sports City Stadium. One of the hotly contested motorsports championships of the year in UAE, Hankook 24H Dubai Endurance Motor Race returns for its 14th edition at Dubai Autodrome. Car enthusiasts can catch an entire day of thrilling racing action among the most speedy racing teams, The race goes on Friday to Saturday noon. The race has free admission.
