Schwarze Garage

Where: P7 Arena, Media One Hotel

When: Thursday, 7th March

About: Expect loud thumping bass and crisp trebles from this underground rave happening at a car park. The rave will feature live sets by techno DJ Nakadia, who found fame through high-profile gigs in Berlin’s underground scene, performing alongside electro duo Giolì and Assia with support by homegrown talents. MK live

Where: Zero Gravity

When: Friday, 8th March    

About: Well known to the world over for his DJing and remix artistry, MK will be amping up the dancefloor and infinity pool at Zero Gravity with a live set. The Detroit-bred DJ stormed onto the scene in the early ‘90s after the success of songs like “Love Changes” and “Always,” both peaking at number one on Billboard Hot Dance Music charts. The 46-year-old DJ remains a mainstay on the circuit, best remembered for his remix of Nightcrawlers’ “Push the Feeling On,” which was later used in Pitbull’s club banger, “Hotel Room Service.” There’s free entry at Zero Gravity before 9 pm. All Day I Dream

Where: Soho Beach

About: Brooklyn’s famed open-air party, All Day I Dream returns for a second session at Soho Beach this Friday. The day-to-night party features an emotive, deep-seated and a soul-stirring sets of House and Techno music by Lee Burridge, the brains behind the party brand, progressive-genre stars Gorje Hewek & Izhevski and All Day I Dream regular Newman. Where: Global Village

When: Friday, 8th March   

About: One of the UK’s best-selling Urban artists and R&B stars, Jay Sean will be taking the stage at Global Village this Friday. The Asian-cross over superstar’s career took off in the mid ‘00s with soul-infused R&B hits like “Ride It” and “Stay,” until he landed a deal with Cash Money Records in the US, which paved the way for slew of chart-topping hit singles like “Down,” “Do You Remember,” “Hit The Lights” and “Make My Love Go.” Entry fee at Global Village costs Dhs 15, and the concert begins this Friday.

Dubai Food Festival

About: Dubai Food Festival’s sixth edition ends this Saturday, and most of their signature events are still going on.
