No way! Manny Pacquiao, the legendary Filipino boxer-turned politician and Floyd Mayweather, the former retired international boxing superstar look like they have agreed a rematch and preparations are in full force.
‘Fight of the Century’ 2.0 is on
Mayweather met Pacquiao , who’s now the Senator of Philippines at a concert in Tokyo today and pitched him a rematch, to which he replied “Let’s get it on,” he said “Mayweather told me: ‘Easy fight, easy fight.’ I told him: ‘Let’s get it on and get back to the ring. I have the belt.” Pacquiao also said mentioned the former American boxer Mayweather wanted to “steal” his belt.
Match date will be confirmed this week
Pacquiao and his team began planning the rematch but are also in talks with boxing greats like Terrence Crawford, Amir Khan and Adrien Broner, according to Filipino news outlet, Rappler (https://bit.ly/2xhJQJG). Mayweather suggested the match could take place this December while Pacquiao and Philippines’ Congress will be on a Christmas break from 15th December till 13th January 2019.
Mayweather came out of retirement last year defeating McGregor
