Papal Mass Offering Free Transportation For Ticketholders To Abu Dhabi

Ahead of His Holiness Pope Francis’ first visit to Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, 5th February, Papal Mass organizers have announced free transportation for ticketholders making their way to Zayed Sports City Stadium.

Free transportation to Abu Dhabi

Faithfuls can reach Zayed Sports City Stadium either via private transportation or free public transportation. However, carrying an entry and transport ticket is a must. With every ticket (free), the faithful should choose their pick up point, aka ‘Access Hub.’ There will be select pickup points across the country and faithfuls will have to arrange their travel to the assigned pick up point.

Advisory issued for faithfuls

Papal Mass organisers issued an advisory for residents to carry their Emirates ID, a valid transport ticket and entry ticket to gain access to the venue. There will be no exceptions. They also advise faithfuls have to walk between 500 metres and up to a kilometre from the bus drop off points to the venue.

Private transportation optional

For those who prefer making their way to Zayed Sports City Stadium via private transportation, they should choose ‘ Yas Gateway Access Hub’ as the pickup point on the transportation ticket. The pickup point, situated in Yas Island, has got parking facilities available with shuttle buses going from and to the venue. Shuttle bus timings will be indicated on the ticket.

An additional 15,000 tickets will be issued in parishes in UAE. Click here to ticket-related information.
