There’s never been a better time to get into gaming with the 24-hour restrictions in place in Dubai, so we’re delighted to reveal the new Playstation 5 controller.
Playstation are yet to reveal the full details for their new console which is set to drop later this year. But they have released details of their controller, which is a real thing of beauty.
The DualSense wireless controller has haptic feedback, meaning you get to feel what’s happening in the game. That includes bullets being fired, the effect of driving (and crashing), hitting and punching.
Building on the success of the previous controller, the DualShock 4, this new control also has adaptive L2 and R2 triggers. So you can feel the tension in the buttons as if you’re drawing a bow to shoot an arrow.
The wireless controllers also have longer battery life and a built-in microphone, so you can ditch the headset. And real fans will notice they’ve ditched the normal policy of having two colour options and instead gone for a two-tone set.
“DualSense marks a radical departure from our previous controller offerings and captures just how strongly we feel about making a generational leap with PS5,” said President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment Jim Ryan.
“The new controller, along with the many innovative features in PS5, will be transformative for games – continuing our mission at PlayStation to push the boundaries of play, now and in the future.”
Which is great, it really is. But maybe you could rush-release the new console and help us through the hard times? Please?
Staying in the gaming world, 2020 is set to be a big year for gamers. The X Box Series X is also set to launch later this year. And it looks amazing!
