You think you’ve seen it all, and then you see a huge private jet decked out with a garage and sundeck on display at the Dubai Air Show.

The private jet is the idea of Lufthansa Technik who want to create the superyacht equivalent, but for planes.

The high-end Explorer cabin uses a wide-body Airbus A330 as its base. And then creates a retractable sun deck, four double bedrooms, a gym and a garage from the rest of the space.

“We came up with the idea to show an aircraft which is like a flying hotel so that guests who are chartering the aircraft can have a round-the-world trip in two weeks,” says Wieland Timm, head of sales for VIP & special mission aircraft at Lufthansa Technik.

The idea is to create the next line in luxury travel. Instead of chartering your yacht around the world, you simply fly to your own landing strip and start your travels.

Plus, the interior will be lit by Diehl’s projection technology, meaning you can have virtually anything beamed onto the roof of the plane. Like this cool disco scene!

There’s only one small snag. The price.

Lufthansa Technik says it would cost around $110 million to fit the cabin out. And you’d need to pay for the plane, which would be around $230 million.
