Pro-Trump Protestors Storm US Capitol Hill Interrupting Electoral Vote

It looks like 2021 is off to a rough start in the US.

On Wednesday afternoon Pro-Trump protesters stormed the U.S. Capitol breaking through a number of layers of police barriers.

This resulted in the Capitol being placed on lockdown and surrounding buildings had to be evacuated.

Four People Died

The House floor was then evacuated following a standoff at the House front door. Police had to draw their guns at someone who tried to get inside chamber floors.

A woman was shot inside the Capitol building by law enforcement but details about this is unclear. According to various news reports, the woman died from her wound.

Furthermore, reports say that Police in Washington DC announced that four people died at the Capitol during the violent demonstrations. One of them being the woman killed by a gunshot. Three others died after suffering medical emergencies.

After the protests started getting out of control, President Trump tweeted a video asking the protestors to go home, stating there needs to be peace, but also that he loves his supporters…..

Twitter Locks Trumps Twitter

Following the protests and tweets from the President, Twitter has since locked President Trump’s twitter for 12 hours after flagging three of his tweets for “repeated and severe violations” of its Civic integrity policy.

Facebook and Instagram have done the same!

House members were given gas masks say reports. It also stated the Vice President Pence was taken to a secure location, senate doors were closed, locked and senators were instructed to stay away from doors.

Pence later returned to the Senate around 7 p.m., according to a tweet from his press secretary Devin O’Malley.

The FBI has now issued a public call for any  “tips and digital media” which would help them identify rioters who invaded the Capitol on Wednesday afternoon and vandalized the historic landmark.
