With rain already falling in parts of the UAE, Dubai is set to be wet, wet, wet this weekend with high winds, low temperature and plenty of rain.
According to UAE meteorologists, rain is expected across Dubai throughout Friday. There’s also the chance of thunderstorms bringing high winds, low temperatures and possibly thunder and lightning.
Rain is set to start falling during the early hours of Friday morning before a brief break. More rain is then scheduled to fall from late afternoon through the night.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued a yellow and red warning to warn of the impending cloud cover and rain. Temperatures are also set to be below the average at this time of the year.
Looking even further ahead, the unsettled weather looks set to continue. Saturday and Sunday promise to be a mix of showers and sunshine, with more rain forecast for Tuesday, January 14.
As ever, please be safe when driving on the roads! And prepare to ignore the legions of social media updates confirming that it does actually rain in Dubai.

It might be time to make indoor plans this weekend as the weather forecast doesn’t look great.
We’d suggest heading indoors and making the most of the films coming out this month including 1917, the dramatic WW1 movie from Bond director Sam Mendes.
