Californian rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers are confirmed to perform at the Abu Dhabi Showdown Week on 4th September, as part of the hotly anticipated UFC 242.
Red Hot Chili Peppers coming to Abu Dhabi Showdown Week
One of the most successful acts in rock history, Red Hot Chili Peppers have been releasing rock anthems for the last 30 years. Parts of what made them a phenomenon are iconic hits like “Scar Tissue,” “Californication,” “Under The Bridge” and “Dark Necessities.”
RHCP sold over 60 million albums, winning six Grammy awards and they were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2012.
Last Monday, we reported a rumour about the international rock icons slated for a performance at UFC 242, after UFC President Dana White revealed they “might” perform in the capital.
Abu Dhabi Showdown Week leading up to UFC 242
Happening from 1st-7th September, the Abu Dhabi Showdown Week will play host to meet-and-greets with UFC stars, gym activations and open workouts, leading up to UFC 242. Ticket pricing ranges from Dhs 250-995.

Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov will face Dustin Poirier.
Khabib’s comeback is welcome after serving a

Here’s what The Arena will look like for UFC 242
Abu Dhabi is constructing a special octagon, called ‘The Arena’ in Yas Island to host UFC 242. The Arena boasts a seating capacity over 13,000, a huge arena screen and an octagon in the centre surrounded by lighting. Take a look:
