It appears that American rock legends Red Hot Chili Peppers are slated to perform in Abu Dhabi for UFC 242 this September.

UFC President Dana White hinted Red Hot Chili Peppers “might” play at The Arena in Abu Dhabi for UFC 242. In an interview with Robbie Fox, he confessed that he’s a “huge Peppers fan”. Frontman, Anthony Keidis and bass player Flea, are “huge fans” of UFC too.

Whether they’re performing or not, it’s evident that lead singer Anthony Keidis is an avid fan of MMA organization. He says, “I love the knowns, I love the unknows. You never know, sometimes the most fascinating fights happen before anybody is watching.”

The adrenaline-filled MMA organization is coming to the capital this September after five years. UFC’s reigning Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov will face Dustin Poirier.

Khabib’s comeback is welcome after serving a nine-month suspension, for his fracas with Conor McGregor and his SBG teammates at UFC 229 last October.

Here’s what The Arena will look like for UFC 242

Abu Dhabi is constructing a special octagon, called ‘The Arena’ in Yas Island to host UFC 242. The Arena boasts a seating capacity over 13,000, a huge arena screen and an octagon in the centre surrounded by lighting. Take a look:
