Meeras and Emaar’s affordable hotel chain Rove Hotels will soon have a cinema by Reel Cinemas at its Downtown branch, making it the first hotel to have a cinema of its own.
Completion is expected by mid 2018.
Expected to be completed mid this year, the cinema will have ‘state-of-the-art’ audio visual technologies and will seat up to 49 film goers. The cinema will host film screenings(both mainstream and indie) and sporting events. Also, this time, with a purchase of a ticket, they’ll provide popcorn and soft drinks.
This is not a drill nor a gossip! Rove Downtown is going to have the first ever hotel-cinema in Dubai w/ 49 seats & state-of-the-art audio-visual technologies operated by @ReelCinemas. Soon, you don’t have to go that far to watch a blockbuster movie while enjoying a staycation! pic.twitter.com/RJNBEf727q
Rove Hotels isn’t the only venue to have an on board cinema.
Ever imagined watching a film on the Arabian Sea? #OnlyinDubai, the Lotus Mega Yacht has a 60-seater cinema with lavish sofas. They’ve also got features including an on-board Jacuzzi, swimming pool and a club capable of handling 600 guests.
Reel Cinemas aren’t pranking us!
Out of all the flavors, the Reel Cinemas team launched an unusual combination of pickles and chili flavored popcorn to mark April Fools’ Day, describing it as ‘sweet and salty.’ Yet, their social media followers were quick to identify it was a prank.
Rove Hotels are located at Downtown, Oud Metha and Jafiliya. For more information, go to www.rovehotels.com.
