Revealed: Latest iPhones Getting Bigger and Better

Smartphone colossus Apple is taking its technology revolution up a notch after launching three new iphone models packed with powerful features and breakthrough innovations.

Next-gen tech in iPhone XS

Man oh, man! The latest iPhone XS is perhaps the most technologically advanced smartphone the world has witnessed. No smartphone has ever got a “7-nanometer A12 Bionic chip with 8-core Neural Engine,” and in simple terms, it’s the world’s “smartest and powerful chip ever in a smartphone.” Whereas, shutterbugs, especially those who prefer shooting on smartphones are in for a surprise as the Xs model has got an “advanced dual camera system” cable of “shooting in Portrait mode with Smart HDR and dynamic depth of field.”

Improved battery life and display

With the same features as iPhone XS, the mightier model Xs Max has “the biggest display ever in an iPhone” and its battery performance can deliver “up to an hour and a half more battery life in your day.” Moreover, the all-screen display has got remarkable changes, including “Super Retina displays with a custom OLED design support Dolby Vision and HDR10 and have iOS system-wide colour management for the best colour accuracy in the industry.”

Durable glass to protect from spills

Big ups to Apple’s manufacturing team for addressing the problem faced by those with butterfingers, of everyday spills like tea and coffee. The smartphone duo has got durable glass design features in the front and back which won’t affect the phone from everyday spills and can resist underwater up to two meters for half an hour. Also, the finishings of the smartphones are now available in silver, space grey and their latest option, gold.

Progress on storage capacity performance

Phew! Thanks to the improved storage controller technology at the A12 Bionic chip, the amount of gaming, visual-editing and apps rich in graphics won’t hinder the iPhones’ performances, which has a memory storage capacity of 512GB. Here’s hoping no more iPhone overheating and battery draining!

Low-light performance ability in dual camera

With the game-changing dual camera technology, both the iPhones pose a challenge to its competitors over its photography possibilities. The dual camera features “dual optical image stabilization with 2x optical zoom”, while their new sensor performs “twice as fast.” The Smart HDR feature can add more highlights and shadow details to photographs, along with possibilities of shooting during nighttime, thanks to its “larger and deeper pixels” that can improve an image’s fidelity. Also, they’ve upped their video editing qualities with shooting modes up to 30 frames per second, video stabilization and four built-in mics for recording stereo.

New updates on iOS 12

Four new features are introduced in the latest update to the operating system, starting with “new AR (Augmented Reality) experiences” that will make chatting and video-calling fun with the use of emojis and filers from Animoji and Memoji. Whereas, Apple has come up with a new feature called ‘Screen Time’ wherein a user can set a time limit for using the phone, followed by Siri Shortcuts, which can “give any app the ability to work with Siri” and lastly, improved privacy features will “protect users from being tracked from the web.”

Latest iPhone XR for those on a budget

Meanwhile, Apple launched an affordable device without compromising much on its specs and capabilities. The iPhone XR, which was earlier rumoured as ‘iPhone 9’, has got similar features to iPhone XS and Xs Max such as the revolutionary 12 Bionic chip, glass display in the front and back to keep the phone safe from everyday spills and water resistance up to two meters. The best part, however, is they’ve got a liquid retina display, meaning the screen has wide color support “for a more natural viewing experience,” with the help of a “precision-milled glass, advanced pixel masking and sub-pixel antialiasing” that can allow the display “to follow the curves of the device” and backlight helps the display to “stretch into the corners.”
