Roman Reigns Signed On To Join Fast & Furious Spinoff

WWE Intercontinental Champion Roman Reigns is teaming up with his brother by spirit, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham in the Fast & Furious franchise spinoff, ‘Hobbs & Shaw.’

It’s been three months since Roman Reigns shocked the WWE world announcing he’s diagnosed with leukaemia. He hasn’t been seen in WWE or on social media ever since. However, it appears his ongoing battle is getting better and enough to land a role in the Fast & Furious spinoff. In an Instagram post by Dwayne Johnson, he’s shown pumped up in a still image from the sets with the 46-year-old wrestler-turned-actor.

Fast & Furious spinoff ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ in the works

Get your engines on. ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ is in its production stage and it’s scheduled for a release this summer. The adrenaline-rushing franchise first gave us a glimpse of supercop Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) take on rogue assassin Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) in a big action showdown in the seventh instalment. It only gets bigger this time. Dwayne Johnson says, “We either gonna get along or we gonna get it on. — getting along.” The spinoff will also star Vanessa Kirby playing the role of an MI 6 agent and Idris Elba, playing the antagonist role.

It’s well known that Dwayne Johnson and Roman Reigns share a special bond. To welcome the 33-year-old wrestling champion to the film family, Dwayne Johnson congratulated him with a lengthy Instagram post, He said, “Good times droppin’ sweat and spillin’ blood with my family, Roman Reigns, who’ll be playing my brother in our Fast & Furious universe. I’m very proud of his focus, effort and authentic performance in our movie for his very first time on film.”
