Portugal and Juventus star Ronaldo showed off the world’s most expensive Rolex watch, valued at a dazzling $500,000 at a recent press conference in Dubai.
Always one to look the part, Cristiano Ronaldo wore nearly a million dollars worth of jewellery when he appeared at a football conference in Dubai last weekend.
CR7 Rockin’ the bling
The Portuguese international was wearing the world’s most expensive Rolex, valued at an eye-watering $500,000. Plus a customised $262,000 engagement ring and a diamond wedding band valued at $65,400. It’s literally all in a day’s work for the football star and global icon, however. A recent report found that Ronaldo made around $47.8m from just 49 sponsored posts last year on his Instagram.
According to newspaper reports, Ronaldo’s Rolex watch was the rare GMT-Master II Ice. The classic Rolex watch was made with 18-carat white gold and 30 carats of diamonds. To put the price in context, it would take the average Dubai resident over 15 years to save up for the AED1.8 million watch.
Sixth award for Ronaldo this year
Ronaldo and his Rolex were in town to at the Madinat Jumeirah resort on Saturday. He was there to collect his sixth award for men’s player of the year at the Globe Soccer Awards.
CR7, as he’s affectionally known to his fans, is a big fan of the UAE and often visits the country. The five-time Ballon D’Or award-winner was here last New Year when we spotted him casually hanging out with the Crown Prince.
