Reaching Sharjah is about to get easier after the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced a new water ferry route from Dubai to the cultural capital for just Dhs 15.
Dubai to Sharjah in 35 minutes with new ferry route
When mentioning Sharjah, chances are, the first thing that pops in your mind is traffic. We’ve all had nightmares, tirelessly waiting in rush hour traffic between the emirates. Thanks to RTA, the new ferry service is going to be a game-changer for commuters, it runs 42 times a day, from Al Ghubaiba to the Sharjah’s Aquarium Marine Station. Each journey lasts 35 minutes.
Ferry route costs only Dhs 15
Up to 125 passengers can be seated on the ferry. Standard silver class tickets cost Dhs 15, and gold class tickets cost Dhs 35. A ferry departs every half an hour during peak hours (5-9 am and 4-8: 30 pm).

Another route recently opened to ease
Last week, RTA re-opened Tripoli street with a new tunnel to cut traffic between Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) to Emirates Road. (E611). They estimate the road will help cut traffic volumes by “30 percent.”
