The UAE Tour is in town at the moment which means they’ll be speeding past some of Dubai’s biggest landmarks this Friday resulting in some major roads being closed.
Stage 6 of the UAE Tour 2021 takes place this Friday across Dubai from midday until 4.30 pm and will affect roads from Deira to the Palm Jumeirah. Which isn’t that much of a surprise when you consider they’ll be whizzing along 165km of Dubai.
12.30 – 1.15 pm – Al Khaleej Street in Deira passing through Rebat Street onto Ras Al Khor Road will be partially closed.
1.10 – 1.4o pm – Closures on Dubai-Al Ain Road, Meydan and Al Hadiqa Street plus Al Wasl Street, Al Thanya Street and Jumeirah Street from 1.20pm for 20 minutes.
1.35 – 2.40 pm King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street, heading in the direction of Jebel Ali, and sections of Al Asayel Street, Qarn Al Sabkha Road, Al Khail 1, Hessa Street and Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street will be closed.
2.35 – 3.55 – This is the longest closure and affects Al Qudra Road and Saih Al Salaam Street and then Umm Suqeim through Hessa Street until 4.20 pm.
The final stretch of the race will include a sprint finish (hopefully like the video above!) along the Palm Jumeriah to the Atlantis, with roads expected to be closed from 4.15 until 4.35 pm.
