Sharjah Government’s non-Emirati employees will receive a salary hike

Ruler of Sharjah His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi’s generous order to increase Emirati employees’ salaries has now been ordered to Non Emirati employees too.


Employees will get a salary hike of 10%

On January 1st 2018, it was ordered that Emiratis working at the Sharjah government would receive a 10% increase from the budget of Dhs 600 million. However, non UAE nationals working for the government will receive the pay increase too.

Retired employees will receive pensions

Sharjah government employees who retired between the years 2003 to November, 2017 can apply for pensions by submitting their to Directorate of Human Resources. They will be offered pensions by the General Pension and Social Security Authority.

Pay increase is based on categories

Salaries are divided into eight categories. The salary for the first grade category is Dhs 30,500. followed by the second category paid Dhs 28,500, third category gets paid Dhs 26,500, fourth category gets paid Dhs 25,000, fifth category gets paid Dhs 21,500, sixth category gets paid Dhs 19,500, seventh category gets paid Dhs 18,500 and the eighth category paid Dhs 17,500.
