HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has released ‘My Little World,’ a children’s book of five stories based on tales and experiences from his early life.
The five stories draw heavily on his memories and anecdotes from his own childhood. They include tales about human relationships, the desert and life-changing lessons he learnt.
He wants the stories to give kids a sense of adventure. And hopes that it leads children to have ‘great dreams with no limit.’
The new book from Sheikh Mohammed has a strong love of nature throughout including ‘My First Horse,’ ‘My Friend, The Lion’ and ‘Camping With Scorpions.’ Eek!
Sheikh Mohammed also dedicated a story to his mother with ‘My Mother, Like No Other.’ In it, he tells how he took a stray baby gazelle found in the desert into his life. He then questions whether he could love it as much as its mother, highlighting how important mums our in our life. Which is a message we fully endorse!
The collection of stories is aimed at children between 6 and 9 years old. And the book could be introduced to the local education system to encourage reading.
‘My Little World’ is published in both Arabic and English. And it comes with illustrations by Emirati illustrator Abdullah Muhammad Al Sharhan.
