Some great news if you’re into coding and digital innovation as the UAE is giving away 100,000 Golden Visas to coders from across the world.

It’s all part of the National Program for Coders led by his Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,

The National Program is aiming to attract ‘100,000 entrepreneurs, owners of enterprises, and start-ups specialised in coding’ to the UAE.

So heads up coders, you’re future probably lies in the UAE!

The UAE is heavily investing in technology for the future.

Coding is at the heart of computing power and essentially creates instructions for computers to follow.

There may be as many as 20 million software developers in the world. So by offering Golden Visas to 100,000 of the best, the UAE is making a serious power play.

And it’s all part of the UAE’s plans to future-proof the economy.

UAE Central Bank creates its own cryptocurrency

Another important part is the creation of its own digital currency. And yesterday the Central Bank of the UAE announced it was doing just that as part of its 2023-2026 strategy.

The news was announced by the UAE’s official news agency WAM.

Dubai has already made big steps into the crypto market.

The DMCC in Dubai recently jumped on the NFT and Blockchain bandwagon by launching a specialist Crypto Centre.

The DMCC is the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre and its new space is dedicated solely to online business. Including cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and NFTs, nonfungible tokens which effectively let you purchase something online.

The centre will deal with all manner of crypto businesses. From blockchain platforms to those that offer, issue, list, and trade crypto assets.
