Some Dubailads have been enjoying the sub-zero temperatures and snow in the UAE, with snowmen spotted on the UAE’s highest peak.
Snowmen on Jebel Jais
It’s been an extreme week of weather in Dubai. From torrential downpours that submerged roads and runways to sub-zero temperatures, we’ve had it all in the last seven days.
But the rain, snow and bitter cold didn’t stop an enterprising group of Dubailads heading to the top of Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah.
Following snowfall on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, they trekked to the top of the 1,934m peak and started building their own snowman!
Snow in Saudi too!
The UAE wasn’t the only region to have snow. Tabuk, in the north of Saudi Arabia, enjoyed several inches of snow.
Thankfully, the rain, snow, hail and low temperatures look to be behind us now. The good news is that clear skies and sunshine are predicted through the weekend. Meaning no more snowmen in the UAE, phew!
