Well, here’s a headline we are all too familiar with in 2020!
While Concerts and events in Dubai have officially been given the green light by the Dubai Government from 3rd August onwards, it doesn’t mean everything is “back to normal”. There are strict health and safety measures essential to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus, which have to be put in place.
Sole DXB has made the decision to cancel this year’s event stating:
“We’re disappointed to be in this position, but we aren’t confident that we can deliver the experience you deserve with the health and safety standards we expect.”
Sole DXB 2020 Cancelled For Health And Safety Reasons
The annual three-day festival showcasing rare kicks, live music, tournament basketball and contemporary artwork will not take place this year. The event managers aren’t 100% confident that it can deliver the full experience with the stringent health and safety protocols that need to be put in place.
In a post on social media, the Event Managers say:
We’re disappointed to be in this position, but we aren’t confident that we can deliver the experience you deserve with the health and safety standards we expect.”
Although the regulations have been relaxed, Sole DXB is not taking any chances:
“While the situation continues to improve on the ground in Dubai, the festival is a collective effort by our community around the world and we’re ready to wait till they can be a part of it, too. We do not have a new date, but once we do, you’ll be the first to know.”
No New Date Just Yet
No new date has been given just yet, but Sole DXB is still committed to working with creators on their platform.
Sole DXB has always provided an alternative platform for brands to launch their latest products and stay a step ahead in the region and they are working on a new way of doing things during this time.
We look forward to hearing more about this in the months to come!
