Great news for sports fans, as Dubai announced that crowds of 30% capacity can return to sports events in the country.
The Dubai Sports Council are working on plans at the moment to get fans back for sporting events and tournaments in the region. Capacity would be limited to 30%.
The UAE recently hosted the Indian Premier League which was a big success even without fans. Crowd noises were played over the stadium speakers helping provide atmosphere.
And the UAE is also set to host seven Asian football teams here preparing for the 2020 World Cup qualifiers and the Asian Cup 2023.
Alongside that, the region is also hosting several international teams and athletes ahead of the Tokyo Olympics that have been rescheduled for next summer.
Skechers run returns
In other sporting news, the Skechers Performance Run series returns on November 20 at the Ripe Market in Dubai. This is the first in a series of 6 events across the season.
The fun run is open to all ages and abilities with distances of 2.5km, 5km and 10km to choose from.
The run will take place near the Dubai Police Academy. Registration is now open. And if you needed extra incentive, you can pile the calories back on at some of the amazing Ripe Market stalls. Which will definitely help the DubaiLAD team chase their new PB!
