We’ve got big news for you fresh off the press. Following his impressive victory at the ATP World Tour Finals, Stefanos Tsitsipas has been added to the star-studded line-up at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship.
Stefanos Tsitsipas joins Mubadala World Tennis Championship
One of the fast-rising stars in tennis and the youngest to be ranked on the top ten ATP standings, there’s no stopping Stefanos Tsitsipas. The 21-year-old made a breakthrough winning the Stockholm Open in 2018, followed by two more titles in Estoril and Marseille this year.
In January this year, he beat his opponents to make it through to the Australian Open Semi-Final, winning matches against ex-MWTC participants Roger Federer and Roberto Bautista Agut, before losing to 4-time MWTC Champion and fellow 2019 MWTC participant, Rafael Nadal.
Last month, Stef went on to get through to the semi-finals of the Shanghai Masters where he knocked out current MWTC Champion Novak Djokovic before falling to already confirmed MWTC participant Daniil Medvedev (who went on to claim the title). He also beat ‘King of Clay’ Rafael Nadal at the Madrid Open in May.
The 21-year-old’s biggest moment came last week after defeating Roger Federer (6-3, 6-4) at the ATP World Tour semi-finals. He went on to claim the title after winning (6-7, 6-2, 7-6) versus Dominic Thiem.

Even if you’re not a kid, you might feel like one when you get the chance to meet your tennis idols during meet and greet sessions or player clinics with the pros.
