The UAE has bet big on Hatta being the next UAE hotspot and has announced six new hotels in the region including one ‘world-class hotel.’
The project will include a huge new cable car project connecting the hotels and the Um Al-Nesoor summit at 1,300 metres above sea level.
And the Hatta hotels project will include sustainable waterfalls, a stunning sky bridge and help create hundreds of new jobs in the region.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced the Hatta hotel projects via Twitter.
And the artist impressions of what the hotels will look like are. Out. Of. This. World.
They actually make Hatta look like an extra from a James Bond film. Which would be an incredible tie up!
You can see the images below.
Although I’m not sure we’d be brave enough to get too close to the edge of the viewing platform below!
Tell us that doesn’t look like a James Bond location!
To be fair, the interior is just as impressive. Look at that rock atrium, wow!
The team behind the project are also going to invest in the region by creating “world-class hotel and hiking trails to the highest peak in Dubai.”
And Sheikh Mohammed thinks the Hatta formula could work for other small cities in the UAE.
“Hatta is a model for small cities in the region. It has turned within a short period of time into one of the most important tourist destinations in the emirate, thanks to its different lifestyle. The development and tourism projects in Hatta will have a significant impact on promoting national tourism and providing distinctive tourism and cultural experience for visitors and the community.”
