Embrace your inner superhero at this year’s Middle East Film and Comic Con (MEFCC) in Dubai with Superman, Aladdin, Elektra and more all making star appearances.

The MEFCC is a must-do for any film and comic fans and this year’s line up has just been announced, with some serious big-hitters…

Aladdin – Mena Massoud

Born in Egypt, Aladdin star Mena Massoud is sure to be a big hit with Middle East Film and Comic Con fans. He’ll be swapping the mystical city of Agrabah for Dubai for the weekend. And he’ll be on hand to talk fans through his star turn in the live-action remake of the 1992 animated classic.

Superman – Brandon Routh

Yup, that’s right, the man of steel will be in the city of gold! The American actor played the Clark Kent role in the 2006 movie ‘Superman Returns’. He also returned to action in the Arrowverse crossover event “Crisis on Infinite Earths” in 2019. Let’s see who’s stronger in an arm wrestle though Superman… you or the entire Dubailad team!

Elektra – Elodie Yung

There’s plenty for Marvel fans to enjoy at MEFCC too, with Elektra Natchios from Daredevil on hand for photos, questions and autographs. The French-born actress also starred in Netflix series The Defenders and was also ninja Jinx in G.I. Joe: Retaliation.

Gimli – John Rhys Davies

With not one but two star turns in Lord of the Rings, John Rhys Davies isn’t a Tolkein addition to the line up (sorry, sorry for the bad gag!). He starred in person as Gimli, Son of Gloin, one of the dwarves and was also the voice of Treebeard. And with big-name credits all the way back to the 70s (including several Indiana Jones roles), he’s rightly one of the MEFCC headliners.
