We hope you enjoyed the sunshine at the weekend as the UAE forecast is for foggy, dusty and overcast conditions.

There will be mist around coastal areas on Monday and Tuesday. Winds will then pick up turning into dust storms with winds up to 40km/h.

Temperatures will rise over the next few days. But they’re likely to dip by midweek according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

Temperatures could fall as low as 14 degrees in coastal areas and up to 8 degrees further inland.

The clean-tech travel future is here as the UAE is launching The Jet, the world’s first hydrogen-powered flying boat.

The Jet can fly in silence 80cm above the water at 40 knots and is powered by two fuel cells that produce no emissions.

The high-tech flying boat will be able to carry up to 12 passengers. And it’s likely to make its first flight next November when the UAE hosts COP28, the global climate crisis meeting.

Clean and renewable energy is a key requirement to sustainability and stands at the forefront of Dubai and the UAE’s strategic priorities. Dubai has become an international pioneer in developing the clean and renewable energy sector. The city has also launched the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050. Under this Strategy, Dubai aims to produce 75 per cent of its energy requirements from clean sources by 2050.
