This flight from Pakistan to Dubai wasn’t filled with passengers but mangoes

With passenger flights from Pakistan to Dubai banned at the moment, the seats have instead been taken by mangoes. Boxes and boxes and boxes of mangoes.

As mango fans will know, we’re coming up to peak season when they’re juicy and rich and just bursting with flavour.

But while passenger flights to and from Pakistan have been banned since May 12, that doesn’t extend to mangoes. This amazing fruity sight was first spotted on Twitter.

So while passengers can’t make the trip at the moment, that hasn’t stopped mangoes arriving in Dubai. Boxes and boxes of mangoes, as far as the eye can see!

A restaurant in Dubai is now selling fish toast for AED1,200

The 99 Sushi Restaurant & Bar has created the Otoro Crystal Toast dish which is essentially fish toast for AED1,200.

It is very, very fancy fish toast. But it’s still fish toast for AED1,200.

Oh, and it also only gets you four slices of fish toast. Tbh, we’d want a few loaves for that price.

What you do get are four slices of Spanish crystal baguette, which is a Spanish take on ciabatta. That’s then loaded with smoked virgin olive oil and then topped with three different types of seafood.

First up is 100g of the restaurant’s signature fatty tuna tartare followed by 75g of sea urchin. Yum. It’s then all topped off with 30g of Kaluga caviar.

You can check it out below and see if it looks as good as it costs.
