This Pakistan snooker player with no arms is the hero we need in 2020

Mohammad Ikram might have been born without any arms, but that hasn’t stopped him becoming a snooker player at a very high standard. And the world is quickly becoming a fan with his videos going viral.

The Pakistan player wants to take his skills global and show the world what’s possible. Which is a message we all need in 2020.

Mohammad learnt to play using just his chin when he was 10. And he’s now an incredible player, able to play shots around the table without using a cue stick.

He’s now won three local tournaments and his popularity is growing fast. And it’s not hard to see why!

As good as any other player

Mohammad is from a small rural town in the northeast of Pakistan in Punjab province.

And he first took his skills public around 12 years ago at the Cue Club in Samundri.

“I told him ‘no you cannot do this,’” says Nadeem, the club’s owner. It’s a good thing Ikram didn’t take no for an answer. When he first hit the ball with his chin, it simply amazed me because it was as good as any other snooker player could have hit it with cue in hand.”

His dream is to get some support from the Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. And he’d also love to take his talents around the world.

“I wish, I could go abroad and play in front of other people and bring fame to Pakistan.” The DubaiLAD team would love to see you in Dubai Mohammad!
