Tiger Woods recovering after breaking both legs in major car crash

Tiger Woods is ‘awake and responsive’ following major surgery after breaking both legs in a huge car crash in Los Angeles.

The golfing legend suffered ‘open fractures’ in his right leg. Plus a broken foot and ankle after rolling his car at ‘high speed’ early this morning.

Tiger Woods had to be ‘extricated from the wreck’ by firefighters and paramedics and was ‘fortunate to be alive’ according to the LA County Sheriff’s Department.

He was apparently ‘calm and lucid’ when the paramedics reached the scene but was unable to walk on his own. Which is no surprise considering the damage he’d sustained.

The American suffered “open fractures affecting the tibia and fibula bones” in his lower right leg “stabilised by inserting a rod into the tibia”.

Even reading that sounds painful!

The 45-year old is a 15-time golf major champion and one of the most famous sportsmen in the world. And he was hoping to be fit after back surgery to take part in the up-coming Majors tournament.

But after these horrendous injuries, he’ll be focussing on simply getting better and we wish him the best!
