Two men arrested in Ajman for practising ‘witchcraft and sorcery’

Two Arab men have been arrested by Ajman Police after they were suspected of practising ‘witchcraft and sorcery.’

The Police were called to a hotel in Ajman after they were tipped off about potential witchcraft at the hotel.

Posing undercover, police contacted the accused and arranged for a magic performance costing AED10,000. The undercover police were also told to bring along certain items that would be part of the ‘magic.’

Just as the accused men were about to begin, the site was raided by an Ajman Police force who say they caught the men red-handed.

The two men were found to have several documents which the Police say were lucky talismans used to defraud people.

And Lieutenant-Colonel Al Nuaimi, Director of Criminal Investigations Department at Ajman Police, urged the public not to believe any witchcraft or sorcery claims.
