Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation(MOHRE) has signed an agreement with Ministry of Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment from Bangladesh to hire domestic workers in UAE.
Applications can be submitted only by licensed agencies
From the agreement signed by Saif Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Under Secretary of MOHRE and by Dr Namita Halder, Secretary of the Ministry of Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment, they agreed that Bangladeshi citizens cannot apply for recruitment directly but have to register through licensed agencies in Bangladesh that can submit lists of workers. Employing domestic workers must cover needs and benefits
Adding to the salary, the Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) must mention five factors: Job description, other benefits, food and accommodation. Transportation must be covered in case if necessary. Recruitment applications and services can be completed by Tadbeer Centres only.
Domestic workers can work in 15 professions
Based on official UAE news agency WAM, domestic workers can work in the following professions in the country: Labourer, sailor, watchman, shepherd, falconer, housekeeper, cook, nanny, farmer, gardener, private trainer, private tutor, private burse, farm supervisor and private driver.
