UAE bans international holidays for residents

The UAE might be slowly opening up again after the Coronavirus lockdown, but the government has clarified that UAE residents are not allowed to travel for a holiday at this stage.

While Dubai is open to tourists from July 7, UAE residents are not allowed to travel abroad for a holiday.

The news was announced by the National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA).

If you do want to travel abroad at the moment, it needs to be for the following essential reasons…

  • Studies
  • Business trips
  • Diplomatic missions
  • Humanitarian reasons
  • Those wanting to return to their home countries
