Eid Al Fitr public holiday dates for the public and private sectors have been announced by the UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE).

Eid Al Fitr holidays from 3rd June for private sector

Employees in the UAE’s private sector will enjoy a long break from Monday, 3rd June to Wednesday 5th or Thursday 6th of June. Depending on the phase of the moon.

Week-long holiday for the UAE’s public sector

Even though it was earlier announced that both the public and private sectors will get an equal number of holidays in 2019 and 2020, the public sector will enjoy an extra day off this Eid Al Fitr. Employees working in ministries, government bodies and authorities will have a seven-day break starting this Sunday, 2nd June right upto Sunday, 9th June.
