The UAE is once again leading the way when it comes to combatting Covid as it has the highest percentage of fully vaccinated residents.
The ‘Our World in Data‘ statistics shows that 89% of UAE residents have had one dose and nearly 78% have been fully vaccinated.
Portugal is second on the list followed by Qatar.
And that high vaccination rate is driving down cases according to the National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA).

They said daily cases have been steadily declining.
Daily infection rates have gone below 1,000 cases for the first time in eight months on August 24. And they’ve remained below 1,000 for the last 15 days.
The Our World in Data figures make for fascinating reading.
According to them, 41.1% of the world’s population has received at least one dose. And a massive 5.57 doses have been given out worldwide, with around 32 million vaccinations each day.
But there’s a real disparity between rich and poor, with only 1.9% of people in low-income countries receiving one dose.
